Something useful for the hospital and recovery.
A bed jacket is very nice to wear in bed.
I had a bag of really nice sucking candies because my mouth and throat got dry.
If she drinks tea, an assortment of good teabags - herbal and regular.

Ugg socks. My toes got so so cold while the rest of me broiled- my inner thermostat was all wonky and the Ugg socks were amazing
