Which parsha do you learn first when teaching Chumash? It seems like a lot of people do Lech Lecha, but I've heard of starting at the beginning with Berashis, too.

I guess it depends on the grade... I mean in elementary school, AFAIK we started with Bereshis in like second or third grade and went straight through with the Chumash into 8th grade.
Wouldn't it be something that's part of a school-wide schedule?
