If you double line a lace top wig will it look more like a silk top wig?

Yes. Not 100% but will look similar.
You’ll still see the knots of the hair unless you bleach them.
you will also still have returns on the wig (short pieces) and may need to add some hair to the front so the liner doesn’t look visible.
It will definetly help it to not look flat and natural.

If I get the knots bleached will it look like a silk top and would bleaching the knots ruin the hair on the wig?

If you go to someone who knows what they are doing, no, it won’t ruin it. I’m assuming you’re not pulling the hair or doing crazy hairstyles so it’ll be fine. Just make sure they are using low volume developer (bleaching it slower than usual)
I make wigs and have done lace tops with liners for women this way.

Do skin tops not have returns?

The way that they are made, the return of the hair stays on the inside of the cap and is trimmed down and then an inner liner goes in so you don’t see it.
