I moved to Monsey from Brooklyn recently. In Brooklyn I worked as a SETSS provider and I earned close to 120k a year. I knew initially that I have to expect less in Monsey, but I’m getting offers for 50-70k a year. And many of these offers don’t actually need a Masters degree. If you are familiar with the special ed working field in Monsey, can you please tell me how it works? Is there no need for a provider with a Master’s degree? Any leads of where to find such a job?

There are almost no special ed schools in monsey. You can try
Gan Ezra preschool (doesn’t pay well)
East ramapo school district (pays well if you stick it out a few years)
Ohr vdaas in Chestnut Ridge
KJ public school in Monroe
Or you can try Rayim

You won’t get enhanced rates in monsey. You can try KJ or going for bcba but yes you will make half for a full weeks schedule unless you are a bcba
