Need an easy family get-away idea for 2 days 1 night!

Looking for a fun family get-away idea in the Catskills, or really anywhere 2-3 hours max from the NYC.
I'm trying to figure it out on my own, but this is not something I'm good at! We've been stuck in the city all summer and would love to go somewhere greener...

2 days and 1 night.
We need a decently priced hotel for 2 adults and 4 children. I can bring along food.
Definitely a minyan.
A destination or two nearby. Can be a hike, museum, or anything family friendly! We don't do well on drives more than 30 minutes, but if something is on the way back to the city for the second day, we can do that.
(Not so eager to leave NY state, so not looking for PA destinations )

Scranton

Day 1 coal mine tour. Supper in park next door.
Day 2 Glen falls park. Boulder field and waterfall hike.

Drive will be more than 30 minutes but not too long.

Lego land in Goshen has a promotion running in August. Kids get tickets for just 29 . Think up to 4 kids with an adult ticket at 79. The next day you can do a really fun activity not sure how it's called but it's especially tandem bikes on old train tracks. Check out Rail Explorers. They have many locations with one of them not too much further upstate from Lego land. They way back from there to the city is prob about 2.5ish hours.

Which hotel would you reccomend? Needs to be nice and clean , willing to spend

This isn’t a hotel but it’s near a shul and near a lake, you can rent boats.

Try a non Jewish resort in Poconos.

They are reasonable and include speedboats on a lake.

Find out if children allowed, some are only for adults.

Kingston pa has kosher food
I stayed at the Sheraton a while ago
Visit Nayaug park water fall and museum
Cafe for bathroom

Go to long island . Lots of old mansions with beautiful grounds. Vanderbilt. Roosevelt. Old westbury gardens. Fish hatchery. Native American museum.
Stay in hotel not far from shul Rosleyn, Hempstead, great neck etc.
Close to home.
Can stop in five towns way home....

What’s in Scranton and what’s your plan for your toddler? A little worried he won’t be happy in a stroller and will want to run around.

There is a beautiful park where she'll be able to run around
I'm sure we can find a biking trail and strap her on a bike seat
And we'd love to visit claws and paws, an awesome close up zoo experience

Thank you for these wonderful ideas! I like the one in Scranton and Glenn Falls...

Seems like we need to be in the Loch Sheldrake/Fallsburg area for a different reason, so we will make that our vacation! We need a place to stay and two activities for our family, plus places to eat!

Any ideas??
