I don’t know anything about space! Where is the international space station? Is it floating around? Do the 2 stranded astronauts have enough food with them? Can they communicate with people on earth?

The ISS is in orbit. Yes, there is communication and there are food shipments.
Other astronauts have ended up far longer at the ISS.
It's not ideal, but doesn't seem dangerous. In an emergency, there would be things they could try, but the more comfortable options would take longer.

Even more important than food, they have sufficient oxygen to accommodate two extra crew members.

You could not pay me enough to go out there, even with enough food and oxygen for four extra people.
Any adventurous imas wish they could be astronauts?
