I can't find my cookbook and would like to make the split pea and vegetable soup recipe.

I apologize, it just occurred to me that I have this cookbook. Too late for making the soup to break your fast but at least you'll have it...

Yes I've made it before... it's a very good, hearty soup.
I'm curious if you've made it with the meat? I only made it without.
