I washed it once on delicate (cold water) in a mesh bag and the band is all messed up. How can I fix it ? I tried to straighten it but it bunches up when dried.

Do you mean a velvet wiggrip?
I wash mine all the time and they are fine, on delicates in a bag.
Maybe wet it, reshape and hang to dry.
I dry mine hanging up and shape them before they dry (not ever really thought about it but that is why I do)
Never had a problem with this, most of mine (I only wear these so have dozens) have a sewn in wig grip and they wash ok.

So I tried that and it didn’t work. I hung it on a few small clips that come with my drying rack. The clips are on the wig grip itself, so it should be flattened.
