I don't know about Friday afternoon, but if you are there Friday morning there are plenty of options.

Depending on what time in the afternoon, they will gave a limited selection left, or might have already closed.

Mendys is badatz mehadrin.
Definitely don’t go in the afternoon as can’t guarantee there will be anything left, go before 11.
The food is supposed to be good but we didn’t like anything. (The restaurant was fine but the shabbos food we found inedible. Just our experience, others might like it)

Even now without tourists the food will be gone in the afternoon?

I haven't been lately, but it would be logical to assume they make less. They don't want to be left with huge amounts to dispose of on Sunday morning.

If you think you will be arriving late you can pre order from mendis
Otherwise go as soon as you can
They have loads of options Thursday night and less and less as the day goes on

Thank you everyone. I ended getting in Mendis earlier and they had everything we needed! Good shabbos
