If you have little kids, where do you light Shabbos candles?

We added a glass corner shelf in our dining room. It's really high so even on a chair a little kid couldn't reach.

I light on the table. I'm sure it's partially personality dependent, but my kids learn quickly how to be safe around the candles. I don't leave the table completely unattended with toddlers around (learned that the hard way) but overall I don't find it stressful.

I light on the table out of kids reach. The kids or candles are generally supervised at all time.

A shelf mounted high on the wall, especially for the candles.
I used to light on the table, but years ago one of our kids knocked a candle over and it set the Challah cover on fire. We were right next to it but the fabric lit up with big flames within 2 seconds.

On a table against the wall in the dining room. When one of my kids was little and fascinated by fire, I caught him once trying to touch the fire, I started lighting the candles in my husband’s study and I’d lock the door. It’s not ideal, since I think you’re supposed to see the candles by kiddish. But we did it for a few months till my kid got the fire obsession out of his system

On a buffet. I don't leave young kids around candles unsupervised either way.
