Please help soon! I defrosted a package of ground chicken by mistake, thinking it was chicken cutlets. I never cook this stuff (a cousin gave it to me.) What can I do with it.....soon - it's almost suppertime here!

use it the same as you would ground meat...

one recipe:

1 lb ground chicken
1 onion diced
1 t oil
2 egggs
1 t matza meal

mix together and form balls

sauce:
1 1/2 c hot water
1/3 c brown sugar
approx 1 t. ketchup
1/4 c. lemon juice

bring sauce to boil, put chicken balls in, simmer for 1/2 hour. Delicious served over rice.

Sounds great. Ground chicken is drier than meat, though. I hope it won't taste dry.

I always use ground turkey for reciepes instead of ground beef,
its drier cause there isnt as much fat

I've also seen people make chicken loaf (like meat loaf but with chicken). Sorry, don't have any recipes.

If you find that the meat is drier try to add a little shredded zucchini or peppers and onions to the mixture. You will find it tastes just as moist and adds a delicious flavour.

a little late but I put in tomatoe sauce after you cook it grounded this way you have a sauce that you can put over potato, rice, or even noodles. by the way what did you do at the end?
