-When getting just a Gel manicure
-When taking off gel manicure and getting a new manicure.
I would like to tip correctly so I’d like to find out.

Between 15-18% of service is the norm
If they are really amazing I give 20% of the service

I've always given 15% but recently saw a pattern at new nail salon where they felt they weren't appreciated if not given 20%. To me if felt like the manicurists weren't being given enough from the proprietor per job. I felt I had to up it.
No it isn't fair if they're not getting paid enough from their boss. But I have to maintain a relationship where they're happy to see me.
