I read through another thread about the same topic, but slightly different background.

We are oot JPF. My DD goes to a BY, but definitely not as yeshivish as most of the families there. My DD has no issues wearing short socks, but also wears knee socks when required. Covers her knees elbows etc.

The main question is- my DD hates the ra ra camp atmosphere etc. Refused camp- day camp and sleep away. But this summer was so boring for her she's thinking it's worthwhile to go to sleep away next summer.

She'll be going in to 9th grade iyH.

She likes the idea of tizmoret shoshana but wants other options.

Any ideas?

Any ideas? Just names is fine and I'll do individual searches, if that's easier for you :-)

Thank you for the recs.

I want to add that she wants a smaller camp too. Which of these are on the smaller side?

Personally I think of agudah as the epitome of ra ra but maybe that's just from the girls I know. It's also very hard to get in to without pull.
My daughter went to maayan before tizmoret. To me it seemed like a regular camp but I could be wrong and it could have changed.

My daughter also hates ra ra things, but it's hard to find a camp that doesn't have it because it appeals to most kids. DD goes to Camp Dina and she's been happy there for years, but she doesn't join activities like concerts or anything involving dancing. If it's during the day she goes on a walk by the lake and at night she slips back to her bunk and enjoys the peace and quiet to read a book.

How about Give West with NCSY? My daughter did it coming out of grade 9 and loved it. She is NOT a ra ra camp kid and wouldn't go to a regular sleepover camp. She is actually more on the reserved/quiet side. This was all frum girls coming out of grade 9. It's a travel/volunteer camp on the west coast. She made great friendships and has visited with two of the girls this summer that she met on the trip last year. Feel free to msg me if you have any questions!

Thanks, but after looking into it a little, I think it is a more left wing than us. I appreciate the suggestion. It does look like a really nice idea!
