To defend myself, I’m in the late stages of pregnancy, and the airline tickets were $2,000 to start with. Then comes a dress, wash and set for the wig… at least one new pair of tights… FOOD HOTEL you got it?

Oh, and Amigo phones… just wasn’t the time for an extravagance like that.

Tights is pricey-you sure save money. It's good to plan it out like that-you know when the wedding is and get pregnant.

Whose chuppa, your BIL's?

Why shouldn't she want to listen to her BIL's chuppa that she couldn't attend? Confused

I just remembered! My sister offered to bring her laptop (videocam) to my sibs weddings, but I told her not to bother b/c it would be too much of a hassle for her.

I listened because the first bracha was by someone special and also after the chupa there was something unusual. It was not your average wedding. I’m glad I listened in, I even cried some! It was mostly Rabbonim, it was a special moment.

my fil was not able to be by his sons wedding, so we set up a weblink and he was able to watch the chuppa online. I think he had some friends or relatives over too, to keep him company. I think that meant a lot to him.

I would appreciate watching a chuppa I could not attend, but just listening to it? No.

And when you watch a wedding video, do you watch the entire chuppa or fast forward? I think most people fast forward because chuppas are not that interesting to sit through and certainly, at least for me, not to listen to, no matter who is getting married.
