She’s been walking since May. She seems to limp slightly. At first I thought it was just the way she walked (my husband has the same gait) but now people are commenting like why is she limping. I thought she would get steadier on her feet as time went on but she still always falls from the slightest thing. Her running also looks very ‘floppy’. I spoke to the doctor who didn’t really do much, said maybe a slight difference. Do I take her to a specialist? If yes, what type?

Physiotherapist. They can check her out and see what's going on. Although May-August isn't such a long time for her to really be completely steady on her feet, particularly when running.

If she is falling please check her eyes.
My daughter was really not steady on her feet and fell often. We were checking everything else besides eyes. One dr recommended checking eyes and she was +4 in both eyes, she wasn't able to see the floor and each step was a guess of where to put her foot.
As soon as she got glasses we saw the difference

An orthopedist if you suspect leg length discrepancy although a PT can also check

Go to an orthopedist. My ds was very similar, he had a hip issue that noone was able to pick up on earlier.

Thanks all. If it’s anything it’s a very slight difference. But I do think something is off. Will take her to an ortho. Thanks!!

I second cranial sacral therapy or a good Chiropractor. I had this with two of my toddlers. My doctor explained that new walkers tend to fall a lot and easily have disks move. It usually goes back into place at one point but it is a good idea to have it adjusted. I was always amazed at how the Doctor would show me that one leg was slightly longer than the other and then he would adjust it and show me how it was aligned again. My kiddos walk perfectly straight these days. Good Luck!

I would start with orthopedist. Is it possible that her hip was dislocated and nobody noticed? It's pretty common.
(Was she a big baby at birth?)

I would start by finding a better pediatrician because that's who should be referring you to the appropriate specialist, possibly a pediatric orthopedist. They may take an x-ray to check leg length, hip joints, etc. After ruling out anatomical or developmental issues, you will go for the appropriate therapy.
