6th-8th graders

They really like to read. My kids are pretty sheltered, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Any ideas of books that don't talk about boy/girl stuff, don't have bad words, just harmless good reads?

If their school has a library, start there.

Some communities have a Jewish Library that has appropriate books.

Just as a psa, make sure you read any non-jewish book before you give it to your child. Don't trust the review.

Sometimes, even if the storyline is innocuous, the message can be inappropriate

I've found that there is really a very limited amount of Jewish books for this age.

My son read some of the Ranger's Apprentice series, but he complained that there was language in it and stopped reading them- I'm not sure the degree of it (I really trust him to self-censor) but you might want to check them for it.

He's been reading a lot of Gordon Korman books, which are generally appropriate.

There are Kosher book lists for secular books

Anybody know the links?

But everyone has their own standards so even there you may need to skim through

Gordon Korman is a blast, but some of them have boy/girl relationships
