I recently had to get dc an asd diagnosis. What are the benefits I can utilize? Where’s the best place to go to get them utilized? Thru the agency?

Ty! I will be reaching out to her this coming week. The support groups and workshops sound really wonderful! What are some of the benefits? Stam curious.

I’m curious why this forum doesn’t include ASD kids. Is there a forum for that?

There is an ASD forum but there's no action on it. As far as benefits:
1. once you get OPWDD waiver, you can get respite and comhab
2. aba through insurance
3. HHA if needed (I don't know if there's an age requirement; ds didn't get until he was 13)
4. free medicaid
5. free diapers once you have medicaid
6. easier to argue for services at IEP meeting
