We bought a large sectional couch and planned to rent a u haul or other van or flatbed rental. Turns out we couldn't find any available that day so we removed all the seats from our minivan and were able to squeeze it in, with just a bit coming out the trunk. We used straps (forgot what they're called, made for this) to hold everything nice and tight.
