I wouldn’t want to match my students if I taught high school girls.
I want to look in style, classy, put together but how can I find places to shop that only carries clothing for more mature women?
I live in Lakewood if anyone has an in store recommendation.
Online is fine too.
Im not trendy but I do want to wear current styles.

Of course they have a uniform! But there are occasions when girls wear their own clothing. Shabbos/ Yom Tov- we can be in the same neighborhood or even the same shul. There’s the school melava malka, school shabbos etc

IMHO wear what you wear as a person, the students will respect you more for being yourself.. even if you happen to match them occasionally. My HS principal was very in style and occasionally girls would notice that they have the same outfits as her… she was very respected and well liked

In schools with no uniform it can be an issue, teacher and student can arrive in sane outfit on a school day. I heard once a teacher who had those outfits for shabbos and student wore to school fir weekday

I live OOT. Teachers and students all shop in the same one and only frum store.
The owner carries pretty much one of each size of every item, and it is possible to match your students.
BUT, teachers (and mothers, for that matter) can ask if its mostly being tried on by girls or women.
In fact, one high school principal told me that she asks the owner to look on her computer and see who bought the item that she likes. When it's other women (and better yet, rebbetzins) she knows she's safe.
You can totally ask the store what age range has been buying said outfit.

It’s tricky these days. The other day I got my pre-teen something at a local ladies store and someone we know freaked out and asked me if she’s going to match my daughter on YT lol. I was like “not my fault you’re skinny”🤷🏽♀️

Where classy clothes doesn't matter if others copy. If you where a typical black skirt parents and Students will wear it but who cares. If you where a unique royal blue skirt youl look like twins.

I would shop in another community and smaller less popular department stores and still by classy clothes and don't worry if someone had the same.
I like Kate Middleton that pairs cheap, local with more unique pieces.
