I have a question-they say it’s initially for the 10 biggest schools, but Bnos is on for this year and BT isn’t. Isn’t BT bigger than Bnos?

I was thinking maybe BT has enough donors they are able to offer enough financial assistance to the families that really need it- maybe more than the other schools can?
But I may be totally off about that.

If I paid $10k in tuition last year, they'll see be me a rebate check worth $350.
1. This was not money I was counting on and therefore did not include it in my "what can you afford. "
2. Just because I say I can afford $8k for example, doesn't mean they'll agree. I can tell a school that I can only afford $8k, and they can still send me a tuition book for $10k that I'm obligated to pay.

I paid full tuition for BY kindergarten and my rebate was $341.95. I thought tuition was at least 10K so I’m confused. ( I know it doesn’t cover the extra fees but even still. )

The rebate is 3.5% so without fees that’s correct.

But shouldn’t it have been at least $350 because I thought tuition itself was 10K without the extra fees.

It must have been slightly under $10,000…
I just looked for you. Kindergarten for 2024-2025 is $10,065. I assume like most schools tuition goes up every year, so that would make sense that last year it was slightly under $10,000.

My email from BY was received a week ago, on Sept. 10. It came from Smartsheet Automation and the title of the email is "Bais Yaakov: Your 3.5% Tuition Rebate." The email has the exact rebate amount and a link for parents to choose whether they want a check in the full amount or the option of donating some of it back to the tuition fund.

Just wanted to provide this info in case it got stuck in your junk/spam.

Yeah I heard it went to a lot of people’s spam so definitely check there!

I’m curious does anyone know if the rebate was offered for kids in school but under kindergarten (pre nursery/nursery)?

It could be they are staggered the date to return because I only got my email from TA yesterday and it said it's due Thursday. So check your email date.
