Any tips? Giving in to the cleaners doesn't help

Spray with vodka, the cheapest you can find. This is what they do in professional theater to deodorize costumes, which they can't clean all the time.

If you can't find cheap vodka, buy ethanol rubbing alcohol at a pharmacy. Ethanol,aka ethyl alcohol, not isopropyl alcohol aka isopropanol. IDK why, as isopropanol is a good solvent, too, but the experts all specify ethanol or vodka. Maybe because theater folks have vodka lying around anyway and wouldn't need to make a special trip?
