advice is, its best to weigh flour as cups differ one to the other.
but weight of flour also differ.
I have a recipe that uses wholewheat and weight of flour is 113g per cup.
and I actually measured it and it gives a cup for 113g.
I switched to diff brand and I only get a 3/4 cup of wholewheat for 1 cup of flour.
so weights can also not be relied on unless they state the brand of the flour?
what do I do now? do I measure a cup in volume and see what the weight is
and use that?

Weights don't vary. A pound of flour is always going to be a pound of flour no matter what brand you use. If you measure with cups, you're going to have variation.
When you're weighing flour for a recipe, you're not weighing per cup. You're weighing, and that's it. The amount of cups is irrelevant.
Eta- if your recipe calls for weight, go with weight. If it dalls for cups, go with cups. But no recipe is going to ask for weight per cup. It's onenor the other. Weight per cup is irrelevant.

I hear what you are saying.
but if a recipe calls for 113g of flour because for them 113g is a cup in volume
I can weigh a cup 113g even if its only a 3/4 cup in volume?
dont we need the volume in baking but to get it accurate because everyones cup is diff
we weigh what is a cup for that recipe?
