Is it done anymore for a siblings chasuna? Like half up or fully up?
Or are people just wearing their normal nice wigs?

Ok thanks. Anything nice in wig or just plain? I have a nice long wig , just wondering what the in thing is. My dress isn't particularly gown like so was thinking to get my wig done more special.
Like a fascinator? Or also not done anymore. So boring 😅

Depends on circles
I do see updo in wigs very often or half up.
People who aren’t wearing updos will have wigs done in a different style than normal.

I don't really know about trends, but last summer I got my sheitel done in a really nice pony with hair left in front to frame my face and I got so many compliments.

Sounds gorgeous. For a wedding or stam?

I already did a different style for my niece's chasuna. Now it's a sibling...I did a side part instead of middle.

I wore some of my wig hair up for my oldest's wedding, and for my 2nd one, I just wore it down naturally with loose curls. I liked it much better the 2nd time, it was more "me" (and my sheitelmacher told me that it's what's in now.) A big added plus was that I didn't have to deal with redoing it during Sheva Brachos right away.
You can do a pony with curls, but very elaborate is out of style. The trend is a more natural look now, with a little flair but not too overdone.

The main reason I didn't want an updo is because I would then have the pain of having to send it back to be redone the next day. I think putting a fascinator or cute accessory can be an easy way of making your sheitel look more special.

Sure I’ve done it plenty. I have very nice lace top wigs and they look very beautiful and natural

I have a lace front. I'll also ask my sheitel macher what she thinks, and what's in.
For my last 2 siblings weddings which were a while ago, I had a full up do, all to one side. It was stunning. But now I want something different, also that was years ago.

I think the most important question is what is flattering on you.
In 10 years from now, when you look at the pictures, everything will be dated. Go with what you feel looks beautiful on your face shape and enables you to dance a bd enjoy the simcha without worrying about your hair. That might be an updo or might definitely not be an up do.
I know I am a little older and I don’t live in Lakewood, but this obsession about what is in style, to the detriment of what works for an individual, is absurd.
