I make a soft cake in a cookie sheet (so it's not too high), like a sponge cake. cut circles and layer in glass dessert cups with whipped cream that was whipped with a little instant vanilla pudding mix, and chopped fresh strawberries. Cake, cream, strawberries, cake, cream, strawberries.
Alternatively you can mix a little strawberry jello into the whip for pink cream.

This is my go- to dessert, you can’t go wrong with a pretty, delicious strawberry shortcake 🍰

Cake:
7 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsp vanilla sugar
1/2 cup oil
2 tsp freshly squeezed orange juice
1cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
Mix all ingredients and bake in cookie sheet till toothpick comes out clean.
Cream:
6 eggs
3 Tbsp orange juice concentrate
1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
10 oz. Whipping cream
1 package vanilla pudding
On a double boiler, mix first 3 ingredients for about 7-8 minutes till it’s like a scrambled eggs texture. Blend and reserve some if you want for decoration (drizzle on top of each cup)
Separately, whip the cream with pudding until peaks form, then combine with egg mixture.
Cut squares or circles from cake, according to the size of the cups. Layer with cream and top with a dollop of whip and a drizzle of the reserved cream.
