For various reasons I would like to purchase a gift for my 12 year old son in the range of 300-400 dollars/ 1200 shekel.
I don't want it to be electronic, fragile etc...
I would like for it be be something wholesome - educational, thought provoking - conducive to something good.productive
it also has to be fun
not books
any ideas?
something like a pet and paraphenelia would have been good, but I can't do that either.

What are his interests?
Maybe a musical instrument... or sports equipment?
Is he into art? Space- maybe a telescope?
It really depends on his interests.

I recently had similar. I got him a watch (gshock, so it wont break) and took him out for a trip by hinself to ikea, and let him chose whatever he wanted uo to 200shekel.
Other ideas,
Bike/scooter
Basketball hoop if u have outdoor space, maybe with new trainers
Board games
Trip alone with a parent or friends to an escape room
Camera
Nagan (just got dd12 a 24/6, my son and his friends are very jealous!)
Hatzlacha, I hope he sees ur hashkaa and it gives him what he needs
