I understand that there is no additional charge for this- so what would be the reasons not to use an agent?

How would I choose which agent/company to use?

Using an agent is super useful. We found ours through recommendations. There are also big companies of insurance agents. Just make sure they work with multiple insurance companies so you can compare.
