Hi!
Let's put out a bunch of salary info to help people negotiate raises for themselves and know how they're being paid relative to market value. Let's include company size, position, experience, salary and benefits. I'll go first, in the next post.

I work in a big company in Lakewood, I'm a supervisor of a non billing department with a few people under me. I make $42.50 an hour. I work 32 hours a week plus some evenings. I get full health insurance plus a few weeks flat PTO. I have 9 years experience in the field and 6 in my current job.

Do you work in a school? I'm sure this info will help other SLPs, I created this thread specifically for people in the nursing home billing industry

I work in an out of town office for a tri state area SNF company. I have over 15 years experience in my field, though prior experience was not in nursing homes. I am earning $65k a year for 29 hours a week (plus evenings if necessary) plus a generous PTO package and remote flexibility. Unfortunately I know they hired me so they can get away with paying much less for my level of expertise than if they hired someone from Lakewood/NY, as the going rate here is lower. After I was a successful hire, they have been replacing resignations in my department with employees from my LCOL community. Trying to figure out how to negotiate a better salary at my next review as I feel that I have more knowledge than some east coast long timers in my department.

Something to keep in mind is that the market really isn't what ppl think it is.

And on the other end, employers are doing the same thing. Sharing salaries they pay to see if they are overpaying and how they can bring it down.

Relative to both frum companies and non Jewish companies.

Its not an employee market right now (based on my understanding). And just because X as a frum person needs Y salary to feel comfortable financially, it doesn't make it the responsibility of the employer to increase market rate for that.

My understanding is that this fieldn frum jobs, and Lkwd in general has grossly over-inflated salaries in comparison to other places and the economy over the past bit has pushed employers to try and change that.

Not to say don't vouch for yourself, but a lot of the comments are not personal experience and are just throwing numbers out. Or aren't based on the entire field statistics.

Op your title says billing salaries. I work 10+ years in SNF company but not in the billing department. I can chime in with my salary if relevant.

Oh wow good luck. If you're in a position where you are training and helping establish them in your location- try to leverage that! But it's also normal and acceptable to have different salary bands in different locations.

If it's a SNF billing company- go for it! I happen to not be in a billing department either

Lol I agree. Also people like to share higher numbers more than lower numbers. That's why I started this thread, let's all look at what the market really is!

I work 25 hours a week and make 85k 10+ yrs experience. not billing but AR department.
most people with my experience and knowledge are making a little bit more then that or the rest are making a lot more becuase they have a bit more senior positions. I know the market right now, I do lots of the screening for hiring new employees in my office. Also, I'm friends with a few higher ups in different smaller billing companies in lakewood.
@itsokay do yourself a favor and ask for a big raise. you are being very underpaid in the field. Especially if you are a supervisor over others.
reliable employees with lots of experience in the SNF billing field are very worth a companies while.
