14 karat earrings online for an 8 year old?

Looks like my daughter may be allergic to other materials. We're going to try again at some point, but I want to buy her a pair for her birthday, and the only pair she hasn't reacted to so far is a pair of 14 karat gold studs.

She really wants "dangly" earrings, not just studs. My budget is 50 dollars, although I'd prefer to spend more like 30 if that's possible. I'm trying to search online and keep on finding "gold-plated" or "gold-filled," to the point that it's getting really frustrating. I live OOT, and I don't have the time to go from store to store to try to find something in budget. Anyone gotten cute pure-gold earrings online for a girl this age?

Was she OK with gold plated or filled? That's all you'll get in that price range but my daughter reacted to them. We need only solid gold. Closer to $100.

I didn't try those. What are the odds that those will work for her? She only has the gold studs that she got when her ears got pierced, and one other that was either surgical steel or sterling silver, but her ears got infected twice when she had them...

I can't afford to keep on buying her earrings, and each time they got infected it was AWFUL for weeks, so I really don't want to deal with that if I don't have to. Why on earth do people get kids' ears pierced again? (Unless they have plenty of money to drop on trying out endless earrings.)

If we were going to try one other less expensive material, what would you go with at this point?

It's well known earrings at an early age may develop metal allergies. There is a connection.
If I had such a problem I would stop wearing all earrings and lets holes close.
It's not worth the pain and hassle when she is young. She may try again once she is older.
New earrings and antibiotics and doctors appointment, do you have time and money for it?

My kids get their perching as newborn. I got my daughter a gold stud after that she had a allergic reaction. Turns out the bigger stone was touching her ear and she was allergic to the stone. Next earning was pure gold stud. This was 10 years ago. I think your budget is too low because the price of gold is higher now. They kept falling out of her ear until we got her hanging in first grade. We couldn't afford real hanging at that point so we switched to a hypoallergenic earing made by a fun company. Their are different qualities we went with a more expensive company. I paid close to $50 and it's not real gold but she's wearing this type ever since. We figured out the back of the earing and the stones and pearls shouldn't touch her ear

Speak with your doctor regarding allergies. If she reacted to surgical steel I would immediately cancel holes and earrings on spot.

She's one of the last in her class to have earrings. I didn't do them when she was a baby because I didn't have the time and mindspace for them. Most of her friends have had them since then, or since they were very little. She would be really upset if I made her take them out and let them close up, especially since we've put so much into keeping them through the infections...If it was up to me, I'd have done it right away...definitely not getting my younger daughter's ears pierced until she's much older. I have absolutely no idea how people deal with these infections when their daughters are newborns, but where I live it seems to be culturally the norm...

Some people can be totally fine only with gold. I would go with hoop or Huggy for girl that age. We found a drop of hot glue on solution to the real earnings not getting lost

I like the brand little miss twinstars, they are gold plated and didn't cause infections for my daughter. They are not expensive and have tons of options

Take a look at Bloomdahl earrings. They have medical plastic earrings which are beautiful, affordable and excellent for sensitive/reactive skin.

Did you try sterling silver? I tolerate silver but I react to 14k gold. I find that if the part that touches my ear is thinner it helps a lot. The less contact there is with her skin the better it will be - hanging vs studs, thinner, the backing further from her ear on studs, etc.

Do you wait till the piercing healed all the way to to try fake earrings? Did you wait till the infection healed completely to try silver? Most people do ok with silver or gold filled. Cheap just ruin the ear.
I would wait and try again. It’s uncommon not to tolerate good metal earrings.
Tj max has 14k gold for good prices tho they are thin and can break.
