5 year old son wakes up so many times during the night. He drinks, goes to the bathroom, or just randomly wakes up. Is it normal?
My other kids wake up occasionally, but he’s up at least 2-3 times every night. Sometimes more.

Is this new for him? If yes please check his blood sugar. Excessive thirst and urination can ch"v be a sign of diabetes.

Also in a 2 year old? He wakes up soaked through after just 4-5 hours of sleep.

No, not new. Been like this probably for the last two years. He doesn’t drink or pee excessively during the day.
He wakes me up in middle of the night cause his blanket isn’t straight, or for some other random things. That’s besides for when he drinks or goes to the bathroom.

Does he snore? You might want to look into sleep apnea

It’s normal to wake up, but most kids just roll over and fall right back asleep. His waking up fully is not so healthy or normal. Is he too hot/ cold? Wearing uncomfortable pjs? I’d find out what’s disturbing his sleep so much.

He doesn’t usually wake up fully. He goes to bathroom/drinks/fixes his bedding and goes right back to sleep.

The issue is that the child & their mother get an interupped nights sleep & it doesn't leave one well rested.

Low iron levels cause restless sleep. Ask your pediatrician to test for that.
