We're moving either mid next year or at the end of next year.
My son will be in kindergarten next year and needs a yeshiva (we live in town now). He's in a playgroup now.
Does the school ask/care about that? Would a school take a kid for one year?

Yes. Definitely you can send without a problem. No need to tell them anything now. You can give them notice at the beginning of the final term.

Not sure where in town is… is there a possibility of sending him to a small daycare/Morah? (for example Lakewood has that a lot for Kindergarten)
If it must be a Yeshiva then you obviously have to send him, you can’t keep him home alll year, can you? Unless you decide to homeschool. Also who knows if your plans will change at the last second or get pushed off for another year etc.
Definitely do not tell the school or discuss with people beforehand so you don’t have a hard time getting him in.
