Toddler diagnosed with ear infection last Sunday and started meds. She has a terrible cold and fever starting Wednesday. She continues to have that fever and cold every day including right now! I took her back to urgent care on motzei shabbos and he said ear infection is still there and to start diff meds. But she still has a fever right now!
What should I do???

Many times one medicine (especially amoxicillin) doesn’t work for ear infections and you need to try the next. So it makes sense she still has fever. Hopefully it’ll go away within the next day on the stronger antibiotic

It can take upto 48 hrs for the antibiotics to take affect. Usually it's only 24 hrs but it's normal longer. If after 48 hrs she still has fever call your Dr to make sure it's ok
