If you have an extra hand there are things that you can buy for this purpose, like wheels that attach to the bottom of it but we don't and we wrap the strap around the wheely of our suitcase (like it's sitting on top of it) and it works great (sometimes it starts to slide to the side but then we just re-adjust)
