Girl names are a drop harder, are you in Israel?
If you are then even in charedi circles you can do Leora, Hila, Meira, Tair
For boys its bit easier:
Uri/ Ori
Meir
Yair
Shraga

What’s the difference between Ori and Uri, is Uri in Tanach somewhere? |
Rav Malkiel Kotler's father is Rav Shnuer - the previous Rosh Yeshiva of BMG. (To echo others).
Ill agree that its not a common yeshivish name but Rav Shneur has enough decendants that its certainly heard around Lakewood.
Im going to guess that Uri is "Uriel" - a malach.
(In the yeshivish world in the same popularity category as Shneur - though I have two Uris as neighbors)
I dont know any Oris.

If you’re in the US you can definitely use Leora (or Liora as you spelled it).

Neria and Uriah are both names in tanach. Are they still not accepted in charedi circles?

I’m in Israel, yes.
Forgot about Rav Kotler, thank you!
And Avner is another good one.
Truth is I’ve already got a non-light related girl name picked out and I’m looking more for boys’ names, I’m really drawn toward Ori (for Ori Danino and the Or family - Dror and Yonat), but Uri just doesn’t quite feel the same to me. Was wondering if there were any others I was forgetting.

Boys that can pass in charedi Israel:
Ori/Uriel ( the malch but means light of g-d)
Meir
Zerach
Yair
I would look into naming after people who died young though, usually you add a name.

Apparently the source of the name Schneur comes that one grandparent was Meir, one was Uri, the decision (more than 300 years ago) was Shnai Or- 2 lights.
I don't know if this resonates
I'm in Lakewood. Each of my kids have multiple Schneurs in their classes and schools.

I’ve also just thought of “Shimshon”. That has to do with the sun/light doesn’t it? And I know it is used by charedim because there’s Rav Shimshon Pincus.
