My daughter is almost 3, still in diapers. Since she went up from a size 5 to a size 6 a couple of months back we have been having an issue we never had before. No matter what company we use, she's ALWAYS getting wedgies, and therefore the #1 or #2 comes out of her diaper! No diapers stays properly in place. We have tried different companies, different sizes, nothing helps. We know the diapers are fitting properly in general (the tabs don't even come close to indicating that she needs the next size up). Why is she constantly ending up with one side of her diaper stuck in her bottom?? Anyone else experience this and have any tips or tricks? Not first time parents, this never happened before!

That's an interesting thought. Never crossed my mind as I'm generally really not a pull ups fan, but maybe in this case they could be helpful. Thanks!
Still open to more ideas!

She has begun to use the toilet sometimes, but she's not totally ready. I'm the type to not push for it, it'll happen when they're ready. If not by the summer, I'll train her then. I'm in no rush.

We had a leaking issue once my son turned 3 and can only use the goodnites brand pull ups. Highly recommend.

Does she wear undershirts with snaps?
I kept my kids in them until they were toilet trained.
I've been working in a daycare for many years and most of the time kids will leak on the side because they are not wearing an undershirt.
If it is not held in place it will move around.

Diapers no longer fitting is a natural incentive for her to use the toilet. You just tell her that the diapers don't work for her anymore. It's not pushing so much as removing the crutch. And it seems like she genuinely may have outgrown them.

I can't imagine this is the issue, as the diapers fit so well. The tabs close on her almost all the way.

But she's so fine making in them, I guess I can try though!

...maybe diapers, both fitting and leaking is a sign to toilet train. I understand you don't want to pressure the little child but sometimes waiting the older they get the more used to doing it their way in pamper they get set in stone the harder the transition is

The tabs closing means her waist/hips fit but a wedge happens when it doesn't fit correctly on the thighs/ bottom cheeks.
If you are adamant not to train her try the bigger size or pull ups

Encouraging and educating is not pushing when a child is developmentally ready for the next step.
