Yes "good friend", you can put your $.02 in also.

I babysat for a "good friends" children one day a few weeks ago when I had off of work and her babysitter called out.

Around the same time Dh lost his job, so we stopped DS's piano lessons. "Good Friends" husband teaches piano, so when "good friend" offered to pay, I asked for an exchange instead, which she was fine with

Here is the dilemma. I told "good friends" husband the amount of time I had helped out for and told him to tell me the number of lessons he thought would be appropriate.

I figured he would say 5-6

He came back with 8-10 - which in my mind is extremely generous.

So, if I accept his figure am I taking advantage since I had assumed I would get less of a bargain?

I know, we should all have such worries!

(remember, I am not saying I WANT more, I think he gave me too much)

Please: pay us so we can pay them so they can pay you.

That’s my motto.

Good friend here...

To clarify, if it makes you feel better, he told me tonight when he got home it would be 8, bc he had had in mind ~5-6, 30 min lessons, and since they are going to be more like 20 min, he thought 8 would be more fair.

PS: It's funny that we're having this convo here, when we live less than a mile apart, obviously a local call, and we both have AIM....
