Hi, does anyone have recommendation for good, easy-to-use piano textbooks for child beginners?
I'm not having much success finding an affordable teacher who can come to our house, I'm not
a piano player myself but I can at least read the music, so am toying with an idea of DIY tutoring for my kids.

look into the music for little mozart series. thats what my son uses. As long as you know even the most basic music theory, you should be able to get through the first 2 books fine (I cant speak for any further, since thats where we are)

How old is the child?
I like to work with the Bastien books for very young children.
They are fun and colorful.
There are different books for theory, technique, and practice....
I have some other books that I've used for teaching over the years--because I tend to use different books depending on the needs of each student.
If you're going to DIY you should definitely get a book with some theory and technique practice.
You can PM me with more questions.
