The Chofetz Chaim is reputed to have said that all that he achieved can be attributed to the tears his mother shed over her Tehillim.

Sometimes parents feel helpless and fear for the future of their children. Articles and lectures and teachers etc. can be helpful, but let's not forget Tehillim with tears!

(I will add, also when lighting Shabbos candles)

This is a very good point. I've been thinking about it throughout the evening.

I think it's an important lesson in a control-freak world...that the best thing to do is just let go and have emunah in Hashem...let Him take care of everything.

Of course...but in a world of shiurim/psychologists/support groups/workshops... it's good to know there's also some good old-fashioned emunah too!
