I am fortunate to be able to have an extra apartment which my dh and I lend for Hachnasas Orchim. We love doing it and we love meeting new people from around the world, literally. But I have some pet peeves:
1)If you reserve the apartment and you see you won't be needing it, please call me and let me know so I can give it to somebody else.
2) Please leave when you made up to because chances are that the apartment is reserved for someone else at that time. That leaves me to scramble around and find other arrangements.
3) When you go away for Shabbos, please close lights and air conditioners. Electricity is very expensive.
All in all, you are all welcome to my home!

kool idea ... but you gotta tell that to the people before they come to your house ... or put a notice up so they can heed your request ... I know it's basic - but some people need to be told everything ...
