Our mishloach manos will be tzedakah boxes with things shaped like coins in it. We will be dressing up as tzedakah boxes. Anyone can come up with a good poem?

Haman used his money
To bribe the foolish king,
He used all his fortune for bad deeds
And to get the royal ring.

B"H, Hashem made him fail,
His wicked plan undone.
Where he once had gold and treasures,
Haman now had none.

It's Purim now, so let's turn a "coin"
On Haman's greed and vice,
Let's take the money that we've earned
And use it for something nice!

Instead of buying lots of things
And storing more and more,
Put that money in good stead
And give it to the poor!

Purim serves to remind us
Of a message by which to live-
Shalach Manos and Tzedaka,
Instead of getting- GIVE!

That's for the Challah :-) Don't worry, I won't be insulted if you don't use it.

today is purim
tomorrow no more
so give me a penny
and show me the door

okay, it's not mine, but it's short and to the point. sorry, but I hate poems in shalach manos and throw them out immediately. yes, even the two-paged, single-spaced, double-columned masterpiece my sil wrote last year. I scanned it while she looked and tossed it. it was obviously cutesy. I don't do cutesy.

sorry to spread my negativity.

For the Peter Pan theme:

They say in never, never land,
A kid you always stay,
All day long you play and laugh,
You don't grow up a day.

It's Purim now, so act like a child,
Ignore the daily grind.
Forget about your work and rep,
Leave all of it behind.

But before you start to behave like this,
You have to stop and think.
'Cause if you're really under-age,
You cannot have a drink! LOL

just in case this is not appropriate for you, here's an alternative last stanza:

Enjoy your carefree attitude,
Play a game or two,
And have a happy Purim
From the _____ crew.
