Do you recheck (after you finish the round of prescribed antibiotics) whether your child's ear infection is gone? The doc didn't mention it, but I recall meeting other parents in the office who were doing that. (Or maybe it was for strept? Don't remember.) My 18-month-old just had his first one and not sure how to proceed.

I dont recheck usually. this time my daughter had an ear infection the doc even said not to give antibiotics it will prob go away on its own and it has bh .

My (19 month old) daughter's pediatrician does tell you to come back to recheck the ears after the antibiotics were taken. My daughter had a couple ear infections this winter, & we went back to recheck them each time.
