I did a Hershey theme once but not M&M's. If you want to know what I put in that then let me know.

For M&Ms, M&Ms obviously, but how about cookies baked with M&Ms (like instead of chocolate chips) or maybe even hamantaschen with M&Ms as the filling (not sure if that would work too well).

1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 3/4 cups M&M Chocolate mini baking bits (I buy the generic parve mini M&M's from my local grocery - the dark ones, not the pastel ones)
Powdered sugar
1/2 cup rasberry jam

Combine butter, sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl, mixing well. Stir in egg and vanilla.

Combine flour and baking powder, stir into butter mixture. Stir in 1 1/4 cups M&M's. Cover and refrigerate dough for one hour.

Preheat oven to 350. Roll dough in 1 inch balls and place about 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet. Make an indentation with your thumb in center of each ball.

Bake 8-10 minutes; remove from oven and press thumb in center of cookie again, if necessary. Transfer to wire racks. Lightly dust warm cookies with powdered sugar. Fill each indentation with rasberry jam and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup M&Ms. Cool completely and dust with additional powdered sugar, if desired. Store in a tightly covered container.

Yield: 4 dozen.
