If you're not really a yiddish name type person, what yiddish names might still possibly be on your radar for not being "too yiddish sounding"?
I'll start a list of what I think is "normal sounding" yiddish names that I wouldn't have an issue using:
Gitty
Perry
Aidel
Feigy
Mendel
Hirsh

Israel has totally different issues than the us. Freyda might be called Freeda in the Us. But in Israel sshe will be called PREEDA. Not something I'd want to do to my kid.

Maybe in lubavitch circles shterna is considered normal. In litvish circles its definitely not. Tirtza is hebrew, if I'm not mistaken.
I agree about zissel. I think its a really cute name.

When I tell people in my (israili chareidi) circles that my daughter's name is Aidel they don't know what to make of it, look confused and can't figure out how to pronounce it.

yeah sometimes they'll say "ah Adel?" I don't bother correcting them.
Its not the same name afaik . Adel I think is usually chassidish after someone related to the baal shem tov.

Tirtsa is one of tslofchad's doughters. Funny someone would think this is a yiddish name.

Most nicknames in -y don't sound so Yiddish. Gitty, Perry, etc, sound very American, not like Gittel or Gitta.
Find a name that happens to be English or French or something "known" or sounding close to that. Or use such nickname.
Adel (and you can name Eidel or Udel)
Ida (name Ida or Ita)
Goldy (Golda)
Mati (Matel/Matil)
Shayna is used as a "trendy" name by non jews, same for Kayla
Bella (name that or Baila)
Brenda (Breindel/Breyna)
Frida (Freyda)
Pearl (Perel)
Cecile (Sissel)
and of course Dovid pretty close to David, Dov like the bird in English, Sora close to Sarah, etc.

Mindy and Shaindy never seemed overly Yiddish to me.
Popular English names that are also Yiddish are Shane, Perry and Kayla.
Goldie and Shayna also pass, I think.
Bear.
Fish.
Wolf.
Isaac, for sure.
