I've moved a question here to remain anon.
for those now living or from riverdale...
do you have any recommendations for good pediatricians, OBs?
no but riverdale families list at groups.yahoo.com does
also, are there any grocery stores that deliver in that area?
yes. noah's kosher grocery does. key food does. fresh direct does.
an just any general tips...what are good stores?where to buy fish?...clothing? shoes? malls?
geshmake fish. if you're looking for clothing shoe stores malls in riverdale you haven't visited riverdale.

there are a number of good peds dr hirschman, dr ben tzvi, dr glaser .
great OB- dr Waldman has an office in riverdale and scarsdale and delivers at a great hospital called lawrence hospital- abt 10 min away- small private hospital all private rooms great staff
alot of stores deliver- noas kosher , riverdale glatt shop 718 5484855, fruit stores 718 796 5550 just call and make an order and they will deliver, fish store delivers geshmake fish,
a chinese restauant, 2 delis a few bakeries, cafe, 2 pizza, bagel shop baskin robbins/ dunkin donuts etc...
small mall cross county mall is about 10 minutes away or gardenstate plaza in NJ abt 20 min away, westchester mall abt 25 minutes
otherwise everything else you basically need is around riverdale or about 15 minutes away.
or make a 40 minute trip to monsey or 45 to brooklyn!!

thank you! do you have the number for noas kosher? is that like a kosher supermarket?
and yes, amother #1, I have never really visited riverdale  ...
