I need to find a one man band for my son's chasunah the end of June in Brooklyn.

We want a top-notch man and will pay a higher price for one.

It must be someone though who can properly handle the middle ground between yeshivish parents and working, non-yeshivsh choson and kallah (who have much wilder, louder taste than their parents).

I am from out of town and unfamiliar with NY one man bands. My other NY chasunahs all had full bands.

I need ideas ASAP. Please include phone number or contact info or at least how I can find the person.

Thanks.

Check out these two websites. They are both excellent and are both very reasonably priced.

The second one (Fitche BenShimon) played at my wedding and did a fantastic job.

Has anyone heard of or had experience with either Eli Wax or CM Schwartz?

My son got those names from a friend of his who works with bands.

I know that Eli Wax is relatively high priced for a one man band, but that is not an issue.

Any opinions?

I second Shmuel Bassman. I heard him play and he is great! He also sings as well.

We plan to have a singer in addition to the one man band.

We had Eli Wax by our wedding. I don't know if your "non-yeshivsh choson and kallah (who have much wilder, louder taste than their parents)" will be too crazy about him. You, on the otherhand, would probably love him.

Try Avremi G. He plays for all sorts of crowds, not only Lubavitch (although he lives in Crown Heights) and really gets the crowd going.is what you call "top notch" and is well known in the Jewish music world. PM me for the no.
