What do you think? I'm not planning to use my toaster oven over Pesach or anything - but the rack is so yichy, even after I cleaned it with Scotch Brite. I for sure don't care if the rack gets discolored, and even if it warps a drop it will probably still fit fine, but maybe it can't handle such intense heat and will just melt? Do you think I should try it?

Yeah, but the point of self-clean is that it kashers everything anyway...
DH just found on google lots of horror stories from people who self-cleaned various things and created disasters, so now it looks like we might stick (hopefully not literally) with the toaster gook...

well it would be "kosher" if it is still alive and I would think it would be ...
anything enamel coated would get ruined ... for this reason I purchased a second set of stove grates for exclusive pesach use ...
