Anyone feed their 10-month-old goats' milk? Is it safe/healthy?

All my kids are on goat milk (Meyenberg). DS#2 (almost 2.5) started drinking goat milk at 11 months. No problems whatsoever. Double check with your ped anyways.

I know kids who can't be nursed on goat's milk much younger. Not even pasteurized (our locals give you a choice of pasteurized or not). We also take babies to have goats milk squirted warm in their mouth if they get sores. It is the best way to get rid of them.

I didn't like the goats' milk, it smelled like goat But dd ate goat yogurt for a very long time when she couldn't have regular dairy, Starting prob before 10mos. I'd mix a little baby cereal into the flavored kind or use the plain in soup and what not.

This is not in the natural parenting section so I will go ahead and say it- YOU HAVE TO BE CRAZY TO GIVE YOUR BABY UNPASTEURIZED MILK!!!

Yes chill. I almost never go to the natural section, I am the anti crunch. But there are people here who do it and it only works on the sores straight from the goat. That means taking your baby over to Itamar and squirting straight into the baby's mouth. That everyone does, not just the crunchy people. Thats 10s if not hundreds of babies in our area. One p[reviosly formula fed baby was switched to goat's milk at 1 month because of asthma . Saved the child from a prescription of antihistime for life at 1 month.
As to the goat smell, like us it depends on what the goats eat. Milk from one moshav has a smell so bad that I changed a baby's diaper and could not get the smell out of the sofa. The milk from Itamar has no smell.

I know that, sheesh.
I was referring to the remark about unpasteurized milk.
