If it's packaged, yes. Homemade, not.

I wouldn't send on a complete shalach manos, but would definitely take it apart and send on the store-bought items. After all, the name of the game is send it on and he who ends up with the least junk wins!

lol, this reminds me of something that happened to my mother. She gave this Lady a baby gift, and when my mother had a baby, she gave my mother the EXACT gift my mother had given her! I guess she forgot that my mother was the one who gave it to her!

Once my neighbor and I had babies real close together and she sent me a gift over - real sweet, but forgot to remove the lovely card addressed to her! I never said anything but it sure gives me a good laugh when I think about it!

I'm an avid regifter. before I put it away I stick a little note on the object saying who gave it to me, so we don't give it back to the giver. we have no way of knowing that the next recipient won't pass it along and it will end up back where it came from--but at least it will not have come straight from me!

Efraim Kishon (an Israeli humor writer) has a wonderful piece about regifting...he tells of his family receiving the bottle of wine they brought to someone's house 25 years later...LOL

I actually found the perfect use for all the junk because I didn't end up recylcling any of it for shalach manos... dd's 1st birthday is in another 2 weeks so I made party bags for all the kids to take home and filled it with tons of candies from purim. the rest I'll just put out as snacks.

I felt so enlightened as I made this revelation last night, and realized that I can do this every single year that I make her a party.

We gave out so many MM but couldn't reuse any of the ones we got because many were Cholov Akum. Also, ppl here do very simple MM so we didn't get that much back.
