I finally found a cheese that's dairy and soy free!
Vegan Rella, with an OK Hechsher. It's made with rice and topacia starch. I bought it at the Zahler's Health Shoppe on 13th Ave. Yay!
(Dd can't have dairy cheese, and she is sensative to soy as well.)

The taste is decent. No worse than soy cheese. With the right spices and sauces, it's a wonderful substitute.
It comes in an 8 oz. block, so I grated it on my Parve hand grater. Came out very pretty.

]I don't know about eating it plain, but in a recipe with other things it's good.
Make them pizza with it. That's what I did.

Does this stuff need to be refridgerated? I live in England, DS is allergic to milk, and had one bite of the toffuti cheese slices...but I don't think they sell it here, and would have to get someone to bring it over.

Yes, it does need to be refrigeratoed.
And it does not have preservatives either, so once the package is opened, it has to be sealed properly.

VeganRella Cheddar Style:
Filtered water, tapioca starch, brown rice flour, organic canola oil (non-hydro expeller pressed), salt, xanthan gum, carob bean gum*, guar gum, carrageenan, oat flour, natural flavor**, natural color (annatto).

Mozzerella style:
Same as above, including natural color (annatto).

Btw, the cheese is also gluten free
