My daughter is very social and asks me to set up playdates with friends after preschool. If I initiate the playdate, what is the common etiquette as to picking the child up and bringing her home?

We usually take home from school and other parent picks up. We don't have a car, so every so often a parent with a car will offer to drive them home. And if my daughter goes out, and they have a car, they may offer to drive her home, but I would not ask for or expect it.

If the child is in your house the other parent drops off and picks up since they're happy to have a little break. If they don't have a car and you still want them to come it's o.k. to offer to pick up or drop off or even both if that's what you want to do.
