if anyone here knows of Israeli detergents even better.
Please share your tips.

Good old fashion bleach and hot water work the best.

Bleach damages the fabric.

Get your hands on Vanish oxy action, with warm water... overnight... works wonders!

liquid Bleach and warm water though NOT HOT imho Tongue Out
the only problem that I do notice is that shirts frequently washed this way do thin. I don't spend a fortune on the white shirts like 10.00 . so if they don't last the year I do not feel so bad !

I prefer bleach white to dingy grey ... also you can add baking soda to the wash ... oh and scrub the stains out over the machine before a cycle ... they come out much cleaner Idea

Vinegar and baking soda left overnight will get out the ring around the collar and sweat stains. If that doesn't work I apply the detergent directly to the stain and let it sit. I have also heard that Cascade dishwasher gel works great and for true desperation I'll use bleach.

I find that Cascade is the answer for whites and off whites. It really takes out the stains, and doesn't think the fabric like pure bleach does.

Whatever you use, don't use bleach if you want the shirts to LAST.

If you want to keep your whites bright, soak the whites in a basin with a solution of water and Cascade overnight, and then wash.

If you want to re-whiten your dingy whites:
Make the garment very wet in the bathroom sink.
Squirt the gel over the less-than-white spots or stains. Scrub very well with a cleaning toothbrush until the you see the garmet whiten, or until you see the stain disappearing.
Wash garment in washing machine right away, as usual.

Update:
You can also soak whites overnight in a basin filled with very hot water, and lots of diluted Cascade gel.
In the morning, check if any areas need to be scrubbed by a cleaning toothbrush, and then wash in machine as usual.

This is Cascade. It's a dishwashing gel that contains dishsoap, bleach, and some other things.
This particular product does not thin out materials like bleach does, and does not make whites yellow, like bleach eventually does.

Would Cascade powder work too?

That stuff is really scary, BTW. Anything that powerful can't be that safe, but it's the only thing that cleans my dishes in the dishwasher.
